down to the wire...

I managed to finish up my first all flannel quilt today, just in the nick of time. I start school tomorrow, and will have alot less time to sew.

I have, however challenged myself to try to create and finish at least one project a month. I really need to stick to giving myself a creative outlet, i get really cranky and not fun to be around if i dont. Whether it is writing (havent touched it since august) or reading (I'm reading The Night Circus by Erin Morganstern) or sewing, i have to be doing something other than working, school, kids, clean ect ect ect!!

So anyway, here's a pic off the finished quilt, i cant wait to take it out of the dryer and get under it. I also finished a little wall hanging that my husband was requesting i make for him....it's not perfect, and it came together in a span of 2 days, so it obviously could have been better thought out, but he likes it, so I'm happy.

took december off apparently!

so it seems like i took the whole month of december off, but i had good reason. at least i feel like i did. the busy-ness of the holidays coupled with being sick in some form or another for the last 6 weeks totally threw me off course. I wanted to post more, i wanted to show pictures of the stuff i made, but i couldnt find the energy. So for 2012 i hope to get back on track with posting and creating things that i want to show!

My winter break (from school) was awesome, just because there was no studying involved. I didnt have to cram for tests or try to understand stuff i know for a fact i'll never use. I spent the break sleeping in (too latw because the kids were off too)and slowly putting together the flannel quilt I've wanted to get started on for a year. I've got the top nearly finished, yay!

My goal is to get it done before I head back to the books, Jan 20th!

I also spent much time catching up on True Blood Season 4, and some episodes of The New Girl, which is halarious and makes my husband look slantways at me while im laughing hysterically....seriously. Best. New. Show. On. Tv.

Anyhow, look for a post of my flannel quilt sometime soon!
